Experts from I.T. Co. have developed the foundations and guidelines for a business modeling system, described key business processes "as is" at the TatNeft Fuel Station Center and TatNeft Fuel Station West, and implemented business modeling on the basis of ARIS tools.
TatNeft is the largest Russian oil company, which conducts its activity as a vertically integrated group and accounts for nearly 8 percent of the oil produced by the Russian Federation. For the purposes of its initiative to improve fueling retail management, TatNeft decided to implement a business modeling system at the TatNeft Fuel Station Center.
The tender was won by I.T. Co., which has vast experience in this sphere, having already developed a number of similar projects for TNK-BO, BashNeft, KazMunayGas, Lukoil, SurgutNefteGas, RusNeft, and other projects relating to the process approach applied to business tasks. The objectives of the TatNeft Fuel Station Center project were as follows: Development of methods and structures for process management, further automation of key business processes, and staff training in process management.
During the first stage, experts from I.T. Co. trained the company's staff in business modeling at two local units of the TatNeft retail network, developed guidelines and methods for business modeling, described key business processes "as is" at the TatNeft Fuel Station Center and TatNeft Fuel Station West, and implemented business modeling on the basis of ARIS tools.
The next stage, which has already been launched by I.T. Co., is aimed at re-engineering and automating processes at the retail network, including the description of key "to be" business processes at local branches, the development of a standardized organizational structure, and the improvement of the existing IT systems.
