I.T. Co. has been nominated winner of the annual Best 10 Government Sector IT Projects Award. This is the fifth time this contest, established by the RF Ministry of Telecom & Mass Communications in partnership with ComNews, is held. This year I.T. Co. came up with two projects, both of which won.
As the founders say, the purpose of the award is to promote marketability of Russian information-related products and services. This year I.T. Co. came up with two projects. The first one was for installation of 1 and 2 trip ticket selling machines in Moscow metro. The 1,200 machines, installed at the entrances of metro stations, have streamlined one of the most time-consuming operations, making the process of selling tickets to passengers faster and reducing queues at the pay-boxes. Up to now these machines have sold more than 100M tickets, that shows that this solution has established itself with the consumers, and that it has made the Moscow metro infrastructure more up-to-date, comfortable and user-friendly. This project has won the Best Payment Solution category award.
The second project, presented by I.T. Co., is related to promoting and support of the Federal State Information System for Monitoring Activities of Regulatory Bodies (FSIS “Monitoring”). This system is to enable interauthority cooperation between the RF Ministry for Economic Development, federal executive bodies, constituents of the Russian Federation and local governments. Today the system includes more than four thousand users. The jury highly estimated the nature and importance of the efforts, and gave the project Best Interauthority Project award.
"One of the main challenges, which are facing the government now, is addressing the needs of users, including legal entities and individuals, each one of us. The service quality is very much dependent on technologies, used in government information systems, and IT solutions for providing government, education, health and transport services. Today such systems are unique in terms of their scope, efficiency, reliability and data security criteria. One of the main strategic areas of GC I.T. is to develop solutions for addressing the needs of large numbers of consumers. The contest shows that we have been succeeding in this area," said Dmitry Vedev, I.T. Co’s Marketing Director. “We hope that soon the market will see our new solutions, which will enable our citizens to receive services, and enable governmental agencies to provide higher quality services faster and in an easier-to-use way.
