The solution allows creation of a centralized corporate repository of electronic documents, providing access to common documents and folders in accordance with user rights and authorization, effective and quick data exchange among employees, and integration with office applications.
Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems, provides construction of the base infrastructure management of semi-structured digital information in the form of electronic archives, support the specificity of operation with diversified information. For implementation of all ECM tasks, I.T. Co. offers an integrated solution, which includes:
- System for entering and processing electronic images of paper documents via a high-speed scanning line.
- Electronic document archive based on IBM Content Manager
- Infrastructure for storage and transfer of information based on ЕМС, Cisco Systems, and other vendors' solutions
The high-speed scanning line is designated for solving the following tasks:
- Document scanning
- Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
- Verification and, if necessary, correction of scanned documents
- Document export to electronic archive
The scanning of paper documents is performed by high-speed, high-performance document-scanners. Recognition and correction of scanned documents in the I.T. Co. solution is performed by Abbyy FormReader 6.5 Enterprise Edition software.
For electronic archive creation, the I.T. Co. solution is uses IBM's DB2 Content Manager Enterprise Edition 8.3 software – the best solution in the field of structured and unstructured information management. To manage the centralized electronic archive, the system provides document storage in formats of external applications in a hierarchical folder system with standardized integrated authorization system. The archive is structured in accordance with business directions and its activities.
