I.T. Co. is consolidating its position in the rapidly developing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) market. Being the first and only official partner of SugarCRM in Russia and the CIS, I.T. Co. is enlarging its solutions portfolio with the “on-demand” CRM system. SaaS has in recent years become increasingly popular throughout the world. Software as a Service, also known as Software-on-Demand, implies that companies do not buy the software, but instead “lease” it, based on regular monthly payments.
By Gartner estimates, application leasing currently represents approximately 5% of the business software market. However, rapidly increasing interest in the SaaS model leads Gartner analysts to suggest that by 2011 a quarter of all business software sold will be based on the on-demand model. One of the most popular on-demand applications today is Customer Relationship Management. On-demand CRM is expected to capture 25% of the CRM application market by 2009.
I.T. Co. offers in Russia and the CIS the SugarCRM solution, developed by the company of the same name. The basic SugarCRM system is based on open source and has already become popular among international companies, but more feature rich and scalable commercial versions are available.
“We offer to customers the commercial versions of the SugarCRM solution: SugarCRM Professional which is ideal for small and medium (SMB) size companies and SugarCRM Enterprise which, supports Oracle database management system, as well as Microsoft, and is designed for fast-growing companies focused on expanding their business and growing their number of customers rapidly. Both solutions provide two versions of deployment; the On-Demand model and On-Premises model. Customers can entrust us to manage their CRM application implementation, manage software updates, and provide support, allowing them to focus on their core business. Or clients may use their own servers for the solution deployment and provide self-support and system security”, says Dmitry Zheltov, Head of the I.T. Co. business unit Applications On-Demand.
Functionally, SugarCRM automates the processes of customer relationships. On-demand SugarCRM, as traditional CRM, helps strengthen marketing effectiveness, improve sales managers work productivity, improve customer service, and perhaps most importantly, it provides transparency of business processes.
In addition, the on-demand CRM model provides a number of benefits that distinguish it from traditional CRM applications implementation, namely:
- low cost of deployment
- quick startup – the time from installation to effective utilization can be as short as 2 months
- the ability to test functionality and understand system efficiency prior to rollout
- remote access from any location with internet access, including support for mobile devices such as PDA's and Smart Phones
- technical support from the provider
According to a survey conducted by the Russian online portal E-xecutive; potential users of CRM On-Demand consider the most important benefits to be the ability of pre-testing functionality and preliminary assessment of its effectiveness in their business, low startup cost, and rapid deployment. However, according to experts, the market of on-demand CRM services in Russia is still in an early formation stage, but the model has good growth prospects. Due to ease of accessibility and low cost of implementation, the technology is a viable alternative to traditional CRM, especially for companies with limited IT budgets.
