Alrosa is Russia's leading diamond miner and the world's second largest diamond company. Alrosa's assets include ore mining and processing enterprises, production, trading and research divisions.
Gold mining is traditionally a high-tech industry, involving use of state-of-the-art technologies. Consequently a gold mining company needs specialised software. Alrosa held a tender to select its software supplier. The tender terms stipulated the delivery of a large batch of specialised software within two weeks. I.T. Co. won the tender by offering the best logistics structure and most advantageous licensing terms.
I.T. Co. specialists helped the client select the most appropriate range of software products based on functionality requirements, TCO and licensing policies. I.T. Co. also audited the information infrastructure at Alrosa's Moscow office. A comprehensive analysis of the IT infrastructure made it possible to identify the main operating issues, key requirements and development needs of Alrosa's information system. I.T. Co. specialists have been commissioned to assist Alrosa's IT department project with the development and modernisation of its information system.
