I.T. Co. was one of the winners of an open tender and appointed executer of the R&D project within the Federal Target Program “Research & Development in Priority Areas of Scientific and Technological Complex of Russia for 2007-2012”. I.T. Co. will develop methodological guidelines for creation and maintenance of a single electronic database of theses and synopses of theses.
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation invited the tender to execute the R&D project. Thirteen companies, including several large Russian universities, made a claim for the lot won by I.T. Co. The main objective of the project, which I.T. Co. is going to implement, is to enhance awareness of the scientific community about the level of studies available in electronic database.
While performing the R&D project, I.T. Co. will classify information on theses and synopses of theses submitted to the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles, as well as examine methodological support, hardware and software, and means of creation and maintenance of the database. Upon collected information, I.T. Co. will develop proposals for the following projects: “Methodological Guidelines for Creation and Maintenance of Information Electronic Database of Theses and Synopses of the Theses” and “The Concept of Monitoring System of Information Electronic Database of Theses and Synopses of Theses”.
Under the terms of the contract I.T. Co. should also define requirements for hardware and software, develop the structure and procedure for database creation, work out algorithms of information provision from the database to potential customers, as well as improve information support. The functionality of the database will be tested by I.T. Co. on the existing hardware and software owned by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
The results of the R&D project will be used while implementing the information database of theses and synopses of theses, as well as for economic purposes and efficiency enhancement of the innovation cycle.
I.T. Co. should accomplish works on development of methodological guidelines for formation and maintenance of a single database of theses and synopses of theses by 2011.
